Suede Skirts and Soft Sleeves

Caught somewhere in between workwear and clubwear, this is one look that I’m very much looking forward to wearing not-at-home once the pandemic is behind us. While the cropped top means you probably won’t be able to rock this into the office once that’s a thing again, I like how it feels professional with just a touch of sass.

My suede skirt, from Lulus, is something I can see becoming a staple in my wardrobe. It’s the perfect base for an office look, a brunch look, a night out look, really, an anywhere look. It has just enough stretch so that it doesn’t give you rolls where you don’t want them, and is soft enough to wear to sleep if you find yourself in a position to do so.

It’s a cold one here today, and we just shot some looks for the blog outside in 28º weather so my soul is literally frozen right now. In other news, we have an exciting evening of watching the big UFC fight with Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier tonight. Dave has been talking about this fight for weeks and even though I used to pretend to like UFC when we first started dating, I can assure you I plan to watch approximately .1% of the fight. All my ladies out there in LTRs, what did you used to tolerate when you first got together with your guy? It makes me chuckle to think I entertained the idea of “fight nights” during the first six months of our relationship. We’ve now learned to accept that I will never appreciate UFC the way Dave does, and he will never appreciate watching wedding videos the way I do, and that’s okay. Kumbaya, anyways, my friends.

xx,
Anna
