Dave doesn’t know I’m pimpin’ out his photo for this post, but by the time he sees this, it’ll be too late. If you haven’t been following along on Instagram stories, I’m starting a new “What Are We Shopping For?” weekly series every Wednesday, where you get to tell me what you’re shopping for and I get to help you spend your coins. One of the requests I got this week was men’s sport coats and peacuts around $400(ish). Since I don’t typically shop for men’s clothing, I enlisted the help of Dave and a few other male friends for this one.
According to Dave: “My go-to is J. Crew for high quality, yet affordable blazers and sport coats. Bonobos is also a solid choice. Banana Republic is a bit too stylized for my taste, but for someone else who’s trendier than I am, they’re also a great option.”

And since he practices what he preaches, the suit pictured above is actually from J. Crew.
I’ve also sprinkled in some options from Nordstrom and Bloomingdales and, lastly, if none of the options below work for the men in your life, here are some retailers that also came highly recommended: Charles Tyrwhitt, Taylorstitch, and Untuckit. These retailers aren’t on LTK so I wasn’t able to link them, but they’re options for high quality men’s clothing that will stand the test of time.

I hope this was helpful in drumming up some ideas for the men on your holiday shopping list and stay tuned for more of my picks from your requests!

“One day you will look back on this time, and all you will see is magic. You won’t remember how stuck you felt, or how far behind you thought you were, or what you wished you would have done differently. All you will see is that within your uncertainty was also your potential, and within your lostness was also an opportunity to be found, and within your discomfort was also a chance to see what you needed to change, and changing it was you becoming the person you were always meant to be. If there is one single thought that can comfort you in the darkest, quietest nights, please let it be this – one day, you will look back on this time, and all you will see is magic.”
