If Blair Waldorf collided with a minion, they’d look something like this. It has been a frigid weekend in Connecticut and don’t let my smile fool you – I was about two minutes away from acquiring frostbite in this photo. In any case, one of my favorite base articles of clothing are my ripped denim overalls. I love dressing them up with a pair of heels, or dressing them down for a walk around town in sneakers and a tank.
I loved pairing this blouse with my overalls since the sleeve and neck tie details feature prominently on the overall look and it isn’t overly bulky since I need to tuck it in.

Clothes that offer a twist of the unexpected are some of my favorites, and this outfit gives me just enough edgy-yet-preppy vibes to do just that. While you probably won’t see it as a school uniform anytime soon, it’s just dressed up enough that it doesn’t look like you’ve been performing manual labor all day.
SHOP MY LOOK:
Tie Neck Blouse
Distressed Denim Overalls (mine are from H&M from a few years ago, but here is very similar dupe from Gap that is on sale right now!)
Celine C Wallet on Chain (you can’t get this new anymore, but there are plenty of legit resellers who are offering this marked down. I’ve linked one from Poshmark here)

Remove the bow for a less feminine look and to de-prep the whole outfit just a touch.
Overalls are so fun to play with and pairing it with a dressier blouse makes it more appropriate to wear out to a casual dinner or to a brunch, whenever we can fully start dining indoors again.
I hope you all had a restful weekend. We have a lot of home improvement projects to look forward to this coming week (there’s more than a hint of sarcasm in that sentence), and I’m looking forward to watching more drama unfold on The Bachelor tomorrow night.
xx,
Anna
