This look is dedicated to the fact that it is cold enough today to wear two sweaters and still not be warm enough. I find it amusing that some of my favorite stores are deeply discounting their winter inventory to make way for spring when it feels like winter is just getting started in Connecticut.
On the bright side, the cold and snowy weather means that much more time to sport all my discounted winter gear. Mid to end of January is one of the best times to score deals on sweaters, coats, etc., because retailers are looking to purge their warehouses, but you still get another 3 months of winter in the Northeast to actually wear your bargain finds.

SHOP MY LOOK
Chunky Cable-Knit Sweater in Camel (currently 68% off!)
Green and White Striped Colorblock Sweater
White Overalls (mine were hand-me-downs from an old co-worker, but linked is a similar version)
Chloe Small Faye Crossbody Bag (mine is the Mini Faye Day bag and is sold out, but this bag is a close style)

We’re forecasted to get somewhere between 11-16 inches of snow over the next two days, so we’re planning on putting the snowblower to work and hunkering down with Sawyer and enough ice cream to last us through eight more storms (impulse buy at the grocery store, don’t regret it). Never thought I’d hear the day where I would hope for 11 inches of snow, but I’ll take whatever break we can get from Mother Nature. If you’re reading this anywhere from the northeast, stay safe tomorrow!
xx,
Anna
“Sometimes you need to scorch everything to the ground and start over. After the burning, the soil is richer, and new things can grow. People are like that, too. They start over. They find a way.” – Celeste Ng
