Our favorite movie we watched over our stay-at-home New Year’s Eve was A Simple Favor, and I could not get over Blake Lively’s tuxedo look she sported in the beginning of the film. So, inspired by her character, Emily Nelson (before she went all murderous), I’m bringing you my favorite #girlboss jumpsuit by Adrianna Papell. This is probably the closest I’ll ever get to having a black tie wedding as Dave and I are planning a more relaxed affair, but luckily this outfit is still casual enough for a Friday night dinner out or the office.
Adrianna Papell is one of my favorite formal and semi-formal wear designers, and I’m so excited that she’s now on my favorite online ordering platform – Amazon. I bought this jumpsuit off of Macy’s a while ago, but you can get it for even less on Amazon.
I paired the look with a deep pink lip color, a gold fringe necklace, and a pair of nude heels.
SHOP MY LOOK:
Adrianna Papell Wrap Top Jumpsuit
Gold Fringe Necklace
Nude Pointed Toe Pumps (full disclosure on this one…I bought these for an event two years ago and while they looked great for a bit, I wouldn’t buy these again as they have started to peel and are generally not made to withstand semi-regular use. However, at $17 a pair, you can afford to toss these after a few wears).
I’m on the hunt for a white version of this since I think it would make for a great pre-wedding event outfit (ie. rehearsal dinner or engagement party). Menswear-inspired women’s clothing is one of my favorite styles, and it’s the 21st century, after all, so why can’t we wear the pants, too?
xx,
Anna
