If 2020 were a pair of pants, I’m pretty sure these $18.99 paper bag pants off of Amazon would be it. They feel like pajamas, but are dressy enough for your next Zoom call when you want something other than underwear to go with your button up.
There are about 800 different variations of these paper bag pants on Amazon, and I’ve tried maybe 795 of them, but these are my favorite for two reasons:
1. They have a button enclosure so that they’ll stay on your butt even if you don’t tie the sash
2. They’re flared/wide-legged. The tapered versions tend to make us me appear even shorter, so I prefer these wide-legged trousers to elongate what little leg I do have on my 5’2″ frame.
I paired a pair of the army green pants with a puff-sleeve white sweater for a look that I would feel comfortable sporting both in the office and at dinner. And, ICYMI: I’ve been trying to up my mirror selfie game by using my Canon instead of my iPhone. Nothing compares to the quality of colors that the DSLR camera captures under good light, so these may become a staple in my outfit of the day rotation.
In other news, I took Sawyer to her last puppy vet appointment today before she gets spayed next month (they grow up so quickly!). She’s now fully vaccinated, which means we can take her to the dog park, to the human park, to basically any park, and not worry about her contracting something.

White Puff Sleeve Sweater Top (mine is from H&M from last season, but this is a very similar dupe at Banana Republic)
There’s no better way for me to spend a Tuesday wearing pants with an elastic waist that look like dress pants. Here’s to hoping your day is just as equally comfortable and fashionable, because who says you can’t have it all?

Anna
